Technical Specifications

The Frigg UK Pipeline commences at the Alwyn North Field and consists of 24" diameter pipeline which is 110 km long and connects into the 32" diameter line in the vicinity of the decommissioned Frigg Field facilities (at the TP1 bypass spool).  The line between the TP1 bypass spool and the the Frigg UK Terminal at St Fergus is 362km long.  The 32" pipeline was laid and commissioned in 1977 and has been in continuous service since that date.

The St Fergus Gas Terminal was originally constructed in two phases to process gas from the Frigg Field – Phase 1 in 1977; Phase 2 in 1978. Phase 3 was constructed when the Alwyn Field with its richer gas was discovered in the 1980s with Phase 1 being decommissioned. Phase 3 was subsequently expanded by the addition of a third gas train upon the entry of the Bruce Field to FUKA.
