How We Work

Elgin/Franklin is committed to the DTI Commercial Code of Practice and the Oil and Gas UK Infrastructure Code of Practice. We aim to respond in a timely manner to all service enquiries.  The typical process for negotiations is as follows:

How We Work

Initially, when approached by a third party we will consider the capacity available in the system and technical feasibility of the tie-in.  In order to do so, we would request information regarding the timing of a development, the production profile and the production composition.  We share this information under a confidentiality agreement, the terms of which will be agreed by the Elgin/Franklin partnership.

At this stage a formal service request will assist us in understanding the services required and the potential modifications to the Elgin PUQ that may be required.  As a guide, some of the items we find it useful to know are:

  • Field description and development outline
  • Production profile and composition
  • Scope of services required and basis
  • Development timing
  • Commercial timetable
  • Contact information
  • Any optionality required

We’ll respond with a termsheet for services and capital modifications based on our Standard Terms and Conditions and meeting the needs of the service request. The termsheet can then form the basis for more detailed commercial discussions.
